I totally agree that a CSP exporter would be fantastic. For many (but not all) styles, it's a good choice of illustration software and saves a lot of time, and is much more affordable compared to a CC subscription.
To summarize the current situation:
- The latest Clip Studio Paint doesn't have any scripting API, like jsx for Photoshop.
- We did contact them. They gave us the rest of the info:
- They only have a plugin API, but it only functions through a single selected layer and isn't able to do stuff like export or write to disk.
- Their SDK is Japanese and CELSYS (the company) doesn't provide support of the SDK in English. Clip Studio Paint JP has also been a bit ahead compared to the international versions, hence not being able to guarantee certain things.
In short: we can't right now. But this may change in future Clip Studio Paint versions.
If you are interested in this feature, let them know so they know people actually need it.
You can email them CELSYS User Support <tech @ celsys.co.jp>
or contact them through their contact page https://www.clipstudio.net/en/contact
or through their CLIP STUDIO ASK page.
Note that their support staff is Japanese but they'll be able to understand some good English. Just avoid overly idiomatic and flowery language, I guess.
Just to add, the workaround currently available is to intermediately save your Clip Studio Paint file as a PSD, and then export through Photoshop using the Photoshop script.
