Linked Mesh bugs
Hello,
I made a structure of a character which has a like-3D animation via FFD, and I tried to use the linked meshes feature to perform facial animation like as eye blinks. It works for the first animation and I tried to use it again for another, but the mesh ignores FFD meshes of 2nd animation. I think this is kind of a bug.
Animating the head using FFD like above
And changing images during the animation. It works. However, I don't know why the face mesh lose the focus when the image changes.
Then I tried to use those face images for another animation. But like as you see above, new FFD animation not applied. When image changes, previous FFD and vertices position recovered.
I don't know why this happening and how to fix it. Please let me know.
Thanks!
It seems you are reporting multiple issues?
Can you send a project and images so we can see the problem? contact@esotericsoftware.com We keep your files confidential, but you can delete everything except the attachments involved in the problem if you like.
The attachment is no longer selected in the editor if it is no longer visible. The editor doesn't select the newly visible attachment for that slot, though we could probably do that.
BTW, the art looks good!
Hello Nate,
Thank you for reply. I sent my project after removing another attachments. Please check it and let me know your thoughts.
And I appreciate for your words about our art! Actually the base image of that character is made by another artist of our team, so I'll forward it to her. Thanks!

Make sure you have "Inherit deform" checked (Do this in Setup Mode).
Notice how it's checked for your attachment named "4" Image removed due to the lack of support for HTTPS. | Show Anyway
But it's not checked for your attachment named "1", which is the attachment you showed that was having problems. Image removed due to the lack of support for HTTPS. | Show Anyway
Inherit deform
means it will share the deformation with the parent/source mesh, which you named "001", and all the other meshes linked to it.
Wah she's so cute! what's the name of the game you're doing this for? °O°
(I was reading this topic 'cause the linked mesh matter still interests me)
