Skinned Skeletons Not Showing in PNG Export
Hi,
I am trying to export multiple skeletons as a single PNG screenshot - I've done this many times before and it works fine.
The only problem I have ever had is with skeletons that have skins, they do not show in the export png image nor in the preview window of the export. Take for example the screenshots attached. Here I have a dog with two skins and a spider logo with two skins. These two skeletons do not appear in the export .png.
Any help would me much appreciated?
Regards
Jonathan
Hello, the first thing that comes to my mind is that you may have accidentally disabled the export checkbox on the skeleton properties of the dog and spider, or perhaps of their skins or animations.
I duplicated mix-and-match (which uses skins) and both skeletons show in PNG export: Image removed due to the lack of support for HTTPS. | Show Anyway
Check what Erika mentioned and if you still have problems, please send your project and images so we can check it out: contact@esotericsoftware.com
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I wish the problem was as simple as overlooking an unchecked box but export settings are ticked for skeletons and skins.
Ill send across my project files for you to take a look thanks. It happens in more than one project file and in more than one skeleton and skin.

Hi,
I sent you a sample project for you to check out, I am still waiting for a reply. I am having the same issue in many projects.
Please advise?

I couldn't find your email at first, but checked our spam folder and there it was! I'm very sorry about that!
It does look like a bug. It's late here now, but we'll dig into the problem tomorrow.
I notice that the problem only occurs if you are exporting Current pose
(a single image). As a workaround, you could create a new, empty animation and change the export type to Animation.
No prbs Nate,
Just as a follow up I was experimenting further with a colleague last night and we found the bug only occurs when exporting several skeletons together as a PNG file when those skeletons have skins. If you just export one skeleton the skin shows completely.
I find this feature really useful because I am using it to set up poses for promotional material that I would otherwise find too fiddly in programs like Adobe Illustrator with characters.

Jonathan
We've fixed the problem in 4.0.75-beta!
