Spine Illustrator script not able to export json

Hi there,

I actually not able to exporting json file while using the Illustrator script.

It didn't show any error message and it successfully export all the images.

I'm not sure is it because of my naming layer in the illustrator causing it but I've also attached my layer naming screenshot below.

Most of the time able to export the json file... but for some random time i totally can't export json file... even I create a new illustrator file and redo all the layering... is still unable to export it

Let me know what I did wrong there...

Hello, make sure the option "Write Spine JSON" is selected when you export.

Thanks for the reply... But I 100% sure that I already selected the option... but still not working...

Would you like to try sending us the file at contact@esotericsoftware.com mentioning this thread so I can have a look at it and try to export it to see what's wrong?

Hi Peter, so it appears that if you delete the shield layer, everything else will export fine and the json will be output, we're still investigating the root cause but I thought at least this would avoid blocking you further.

It appears as the cause was a layer that was locked in the shield base group. If you unlock it, it will export the json as expected. Please make sure you don't leave locked layers around (:

Thanks, Hope your team can find out what really happened... Because is not the 1st time for me... It happened several times for me... Is quite random but in the end I manually arranged it back in spine.

Could you please check if in other cases you also had locked layers hidden in groups?

Looks like is cause by the hidden locked layer within shield layer. I've successfully exported the json file.

Now we know what caused it, next time i will check the is there any hidden locked layer.

This issue happened for me too many times, but as you said randomly.
I cant find out the actual problem,.. but you exactly found the cause.
