Exporting transparent GIFs issue
Just wanna know if this is intentional / limitation of the gif format or if I'm doing something wrong.
I want to export my animation as a looping transparent gif, but the background color I choose still matters, the more white it is, the more it flickers whichever background color I chose. If I make the background completely black, the flickering stops but it gives the gif this weird black pixelly outline, same with other colors like green will give it a green outline ;c Image removed due to the lack of support for HTTPS. | Show Anyway
I don't want the background to be white cause there's white in the character's design.
Any solutions?
Here are gifs for reference:

Grey background (flickering)
White background (looks fine but the white in the character design is also transparent obviously)

Spine analyzes the colors used in all frames and tries to pick the best colors, since GIF is limited to 256 colors. The higher you set Quality
, the harder Spine tries to pick the best colors.
The outline you get is because GIF supports a single transparency color. That is normal, the flickering isn't. Do you still see the flickering background when using Quality
20? I know it can be very slow to export, but it does a good job picking colors.
Nice animation, BTW!
Ah, I see. I do see flickering at quality 20. It's whenever the bg color is not completely saturated or desatured it seems. I forget how shitty gif is with transparency :B It looks alright with the black "border" I suppose
