I'm instantiating waves of these cute but mean cats.

When doing so, the game stutters brutally, so I thought about pooling some enemies. But first I wanted to ask you about any other creative solutions or special methods for instantiating spine powered minions. Any cool thoughts?

It does sound like you need to pool them. I doubt anything else would remedy that.
