Still the same issue with 3.1.05.

Same Issue with 3.1.08 . Please fix. It keeps downloading every time. I tried setting a different version, same thing. I was unable to use the software at all during some sort of connection issue it had with the website.

We're terribly sorry for this and will look into it!

I reported this error on the very first 3.0 release, and still nothing after several months! I can't use 3.0 too.

Sorry, we have been run thin lately. We are expanding the team though and will have a lot more resources starting in June. I know this problem is annoying, but at least doesn't prevent usage of the app. We have looked into it but since we can't get it to happen an any of the many computers we have tried it on, tracking down the problem has proven difficult. We are still working on it though and I'm sure we'll get it fixed.

I have this problem too. But it seems that the trial version has no problem about this. I tryed to get the main program version down to 2.x, the same trouble. I guess it is the problem about the 3.x launcher,not the program itself.Every time I run the launcher, the downloaded files automatic disappeared... If you download both 2.x and 3.x, you'll lost the file which has the version you just want to choose.

We have this problem too. We are in China, and seems esotericsoftware.com has been blocked here(it's very very slow or unavailable most of the time).We need 1030 minutes to launch spine everytime through vpn.

In China,that's a big problem, we hope you fix it ASAP.

And I can reproduce it in my computer(Win10) and virtual machine(win7).
Mac version is no problem.

This bug exists almost half an year, 6 months! And they still can't fix it. This is insane!

I just bought 3.2.0.1 and I also have this "problem". If you can't reproduce the problem, maybe some kind of remote (TeamViewer) debugging can help?!
Or posting a WireShark log etc.?!

This problem always happen in my computer, but my friend doesn't same, I guess it's some network issue

Nate, any progress on this bug? This is the only one stops from using 3.x version.

Is it fixes with 3.4?

Please give it a try, we've been investigating this for a while now, but still can't repro it on our end. As such, all fixes we apply are stabs at the dark :/

Unfortunately, this bug still exists in Spine v.3.4. I experience the same behavior i.e. Spine downloading its latest version every time it's launched. Just from a usability perspective, I personally don't mind, but it's annoying, and as stated before, might be an inconvenience for people with limited bandwidth etc. So I'm just letting the Spine team know.

As a side note, I'm a software developer myself - and since this issue happens every time on my machine - if there's anything I could do to investigate the issue further, please let me know. And what I mean by that will probably involve something along the lines of bytecode debugging etc. but that's reverse engineering and I most certainly would not do that without Esoteric Software's explicit permission.

Anyway, keep up the good work.

I can try any debug version if Nate can provide. This is a stable bug on my side too.
