how do I use Photoshop export script?

Hi!
So.... I just got Spine software and I have my character on photoshop and it is separated in several levels to be animated on Spine.... But now I don't know what to do. All the tutorials I watched started with the images ready.

how do I use the photoshop export script to get the images ready so I can have them ready for Spine?

Please help...I'm getting really frustrated 🙁

You can run the script in Photoshop using the following steps:

File - Scripts - Browse - LayerstoPNG (You can find the script in the Spine installation folder - in the scripts subfolder).

The script will export each layer from your file as a separate image and create a JSON file in a folder called "Images" wherever your Photoshop file is saved. You can then import this JSON file in Spine using "import data" option.

Thank you very much for responding. I did find that file and I did follow the steps, but when I went to see the images, they were cut off and not what they were suppose to be...really strange.... So here is the box that shows up before I save it and here is how the images look after it saved....

I don't understand what happened..... 🙁

Does the LAYERS TO PNG script need to be installed somewhere specific to use with PS?

When I use SCRIPTS > FILE > BROWSE in PS, and navigate to the script in the SPINE SCRIPTS folder, PD gives me an ERROR 24 CUSTOM OPTIONS IS NOT A FUNCTION warning.

Advice would be most appreciated as I am trialing Spine to see if it will work for a project.

It doesn't need to be installed. You can do a few things to run it. Drag it into the Photoshop window. Double-click on it (if it's associated with photoshop). Or go through the menus, I guess like you did.

What version of Photoshop are you using? I think Shiu was working on an updated version. And I'm not sure which one you got.

I've always kept the version I got a year and a half ago and kept it in my dropbox. But I used Photoshop CS5 and have since switched to CS6 and still works for me.
