Mad Bobo
- 수정됨
Game is now live! You can download it on Google Play
Bobo was going to forest for bananas, to cave for refreshment in hot days and he was enjoying freedom. At least until aborigines from tribe Hulu surprised Bobo in sleep, tied him and locked into a cage. They started using him to drag heavy stones for camp fortification. However Bobo didn't want to live as slave, so one day he got really angry. He managed to break the cage and pull a catapult. He told himself, that it would be much better to ovefly them, than to fight.

Looks pretty nice, I like the graphics.
The only thing I can see if the dinosaurs walk cycle looks a bit spazzy. More like it's spazzing out than walking, but that might have been a style choice (because the saddle moves nicely with it)?
But I would look up 4 legged walk cycles if you do want to make it look more like a walk cycle.
Here's one of a lion:

But all the graphics look nice, and all the other animation, looks like it will be a fun game!
Hey, I like the style. It looks hilarious actually.
If it were me, I would be careful with the depiction of the Native Americans. One thing I learned today is that many Native Americans take issue with the headdress being shown in art or in life as a shorthand stereotype for "this is an indian". To understand it a little better, check out this article:

And I realize this is probably the last thing you want to hear about artwork that is already in the done pile. But maybe take a moment to read the short article above. I absolutely am not interested in trolling or starting up debate on this forum.

We need some devices with Android 2.3, if there is someone with this version, feel free to join this community and try this game.
Of course, others are welcome too
We just released Mad Bobo! Feel free to try it on Google Play.
Very nice, congrats on shipping! Hope it does well.
One bit of feedback: make it fun, THEN push the IAP. I think people tire of needing to spend on free games. Even if it's just bananas, they are symbolic
everyone knows it'll come down to cash later. Better to give them a chance to have fun and get hooked before showing a potential turn off.

What do you mean exactly? I thought that we already have it this way, you think that we don't?
You're not bad now, but the tutorial at the very beginning had me paying bananas for a power up before I had ever played the game. Just my opinion, but maybe delay this slightly so people get to play sooner and have some idea of why they want the power up.
BTW, the gorilla face screen transitions are great!
Thanks and thanks for your feedback too.
That tutorial is for people to learn how to upgrade, at that point users don't know about microtransactions, yet.
We give user bananas he needs to buy that upgrade, so it's basically free.
Bananas is the only currency in the game and user can get some in the game, or buy some.
Users are used to free games having currency. As soon as you show them they can spend bananas, people will suspect that it's leading to spending real money. That's why my 2 cents is to focus on the game for the very first impression and introduce banana currency slightly later. Something like, "look at how cool the game is! now here's a super cool item!" and have the that first item be something that really adds to the experience.
