  • Issue: Hovering over image does not show boundary box

Dear Spine pros,
I'm having a problem now that I've never had before. When I hover over an image, there's no boundary box around the image like before. Even if I create a bone and hold Ctrl to quickly select the image, I can't select it and it doesn't show the boundary box. But when I select a slot or image directly in the tree, the boundary box still pops up.

This is very inconvenient and takes more time than before. 🙁

I've tried downgrading to a lower version (like 4.2.38), but the problem is still there. Let me know if there's a setting or a workaround.
Thank you!

Please guide me to find "Show Bounding Boxes" option, I can't find this option. I am using 4.2.20, updating to 4.3 will affect the project I am working on.

The main toolbar has some viewport options:

You may have disabled selecting "images" (which is really "attachments").

If you are using skins, you can only select attachments for the active skin. If you pinned skins but they are not the active skin, you won't be able to select attachments from the pinned skins and won't get the dashed box around them when the mouse is over them.

In animate mode region attachments can't be selected. You'll get the dashed box around them, but clicking them will only select them in the tree.

If you are still having trouble there may be something else going on. Does the problem persist if you close and re-open Spine?

Yeah I got it working, it was just that I forgot to enable Image selection (I feel pretty stupid here...). Thanks for the help.

Don't feel bad, it's a tiny setting in the corner. Can happen to anyone! 🙂
