  • Photoshop Elements - script setup

Not sure what category this belongs to. Sorry in advance.

I recently purchased Photoshop Elements as suggested, so that I didn't have to worry about monthly subscriptions. Now that I have it, I quickly learned that Photoshop Elements Export is grayed out and can only be activated by a third party download.

Is there a way to install this as of 2024 or is this outdated info? I have not been able to find any video or resource to explain how to set it up and Adobe customer service has been atrocious. I don't if this is something I need to just drop and drag into a certain folder or what.

Any walkthrough or help is appreciated.

Thank you!

TyraWadman Unfortunately, I don't have Photoshop Elements, so I am not sure specifically how it differs from Photoshop CC. However, as far as I can tell from the following thread, it does not appear that the script can be used in Photoshop Elements exactly the same way that it works in Photoshop CC:
    https://esotericsoftware.com/forum/d/14655-can-photoshop-elements-run-the-quotphotoshop-to-spinequot-script

However, we are in the process of adding a new import method in a future version update, so even if you cannot use the script (PhotoshopToSpine.jsx), you may still be able to make good use of Photoshop Elements. The new import method will allow you to import images even if they were not created in Photoshop, as long as they are saved in PSD format, using the tags and other features available in PhotoshopToSpine.
Unfortunately, we cannot tell you exactly when this feature will be added, but we are already in the process of testing it on our end, so I think it shouldn't take too long.

Misaki Thank you for your transparency! Im still within the window of the 30 day refund so I will return it and await the updates.

      Thanks again!
