I really like that.
The silhouette and technique reminds me Vanillaware animation (that i'm a huge fan).
How long did it take you to do this?

Man I LOVE Vanillaware animation, their stuff is truly inspiring. Ive been working on and off for about a month. About 30 hours painting all the individual pieces and about 30 hours animating.

really good animation there, how did you do that swing attack? is that separate images or was it meshed? Keep up the good work and looking forward your work in the near future!! :rock:

When there is a major perspective change in a body part i will switch out the image, so that swing is really 2 sets of images: a set where the character faces right and another where it faces the viewer. The exaggerated posing helps to convey motion in the swing. If you download the gif and look at the frames individually u'll see what I mean
