I think Spine will be in demand for very long time.
The thing is that with spine most of the projects are small, that allows you to iterate on your skills and improve much faster.
So one day if things go bad for spine with all that animation skills you can easily jump to any other 3D animation tool.

Build a portfolio on Artstation, a lot of clients look there
Linkdin also works for me, make sure to post your works there to get visibility
I animate with spine fulltime for 3 years, and never had lack of projects. Note that I dont have drawing skills.
