Like all antivirus and anti-malware, Kaspersky works using heuristics, meaning that it makes guesses about what software is malicious. It has guessed incorrectly regarding Spine. Since you use such software, you should know that this is a common event. It can be useful to warn you about software you did not mean to install. If you know the software comes from a trusted source, as Spine does, then you should not be alarmed at the incorrect classification.

If Kaspersky interferes with being able to use Spine, you will need to put Spine on Kaspersky's safelist or uninstall Kaspersky. There is nothing we can do on our side if Kaspersky incorrectly claims that Spine is dangerous and deletes it. In the past we have contacted many antivirus software vendors but that achieves nothing. The guesses their software makes are only useful as a warning.

What can we do? We make safe software. Some other company comes along and says that our software isn't safe. Such a declaration is completely outside our control. You may have better luck contacting Kaspersky, though I wouldn't expect much of a response, and certainly not from the owner of the company, as you are getting here.

You are free to make that decision. All I can say is that Spine is safe. We have stated that explicitly in Section 7(d) of the Spine Editor License Agreement. If you, Kaspersky, or anyone else still doesn't believe it, there's nothing else we can do.

I do understand you are concerned with the safety of the software you run on your computer. That is a good thing! However, as I explained previously, Kaspersky simply makes guesses about what is dangerous and often gets it wrong, for Spine and for other software. Use it as a warning, investigate the suspicious software vendor, and if you decide to trust the software vendor then add it to Kaspersky's safelist.

I can't know which version that would be. Is it the older 3.8 version of the Spine launcher? If so we can send that to you, but it is limited to running 3.8.99 editor versions and below. To run 4.0 editor versions the latest Spine launcher must be used.

I run a couple searchs on internet and found out not only Spine but Kaspersky also eliminate many other software and game with the same reason: PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic.nblk (That's pretty weird and over-protected)
As far as I know, the only way to use both program is

• Go to setting, and untick "Perform recommended actions automatically", then
• Manually allow Spine.

Yep, Kaspersky and others have to make guesses about what software is bad, since bad software changes all the time. When they guess wrong, you have to explicitly tell the antivirus software not to mess things up.
