We are sorry for the trouble! Could you please send us the problematic Spine project (including the image files) as a zip package to contact@esotericsoftware.com, then we can have a look at it. Please reference this thread briefly in the email so that we know where it belongs to.

Thank you for reply Harald
I just sent an email with a ZIP

Thanks for the email, we received it and are having a look at it.

When re-creating the Spine project via Spine - Import Data, I see the same result in the latest Spine version 3.8.93 as in your in unity gif.
So either

  • a) the skeleton export caused an issue which is then imported back to the Spine project via Import Data.., or
  • b) the animation relied on a bug which has been fixed in the meantime and now makes the animation look different without the bug.

In order to find out, could you please send us the Spine project file? In my previous posting I also meant to send us the Spine project and not the exported assets, but I understand that this can easily be misunderstood.

OK,I just send an email with the Spine project file

The character was made at 3.6.53
3.8.75 has been re-exported, the result was correct
3.8.93 Re-export again, the result is wrong.

In addition, there are characters made in 3.8.75, the export will have similar errors

Thanks, we received your package.

I just noticed that I was looking for the wrong problem: From your shared gif animations I assumed that the dash animation was broken in Unity, but played back correctly in Skeleton Viewer. Now I noticed that the animation shown in SkeletonViewer is attack3 instead of dash.

So I assume that both the gif showing SkeletonViewer and the gif showing Unity playback display the animations in a wrong way, is this what you meant? And the real problem you have is that the animations are showing the white ghost image too long, is that correct?

It would help in general if you report any problems like this:

  • "description what you expect to see", showing an image
  • "description what you are seeing instead", also showing an image.

We have the same problem.

When the animations are switched in Unity, the attachments of the previous animation can't be hidden.

We updated the spine-unity runtime, and this issue started occurring.

Sorry for the trouble! Thanks for getting back to us and for the clarification! We can now reproduce the issue on our side as well and are working on a fix. We will let you know once the issue has been resolved. Thanks for reporting!

The issue has just been fixed. New spine-unity 3.8 unitypackages can be downloaded here as usual:
