  • New 3.7 update has broken animation exports to unity

Hello everyone, I have having the hardest time getting Spine animations to import into unity with the new 3.7 update. I have updated my version of spine to 3.7.87 with the 3.7 version of Unity Runtime. My current version of unity is 2018.30f2.

Whenever I export anything from Spine into Unity, the only imported files I am getting is the spine json file and the skeleton file. The skeleton file is throwing up warnings because it does not have a material file.

When I try and manually create an atlas file within Unity, I get errors in the console because I am missing a material file (the error says: "Materials not set for atlas asset: New Spine Atlas Asset").

I created a new unity project to see if this happening in other places. In the new unity project, I am getting the same problem to occur.

It seems that the spine export is no longer generating material files. Is this issue happening to anyone else?

When you export from Spine, do you definitely have the "Texture Atlas: Pack" checked?

I guess that you have the atlas extension already set to .atlas.txt right?
Could you please have a look at which export options differ from the default ones here:

If there is nothing suspicious in your settings, could you please create a zipped package of exported assets that shows this problem and send it to contact@esotericsoftware.com?

You guys are a life saver! For whatever reason, when I updated to the new version of Spine, it got rid of the .txt at the end of my Atlas extension. Thank you for everything. I love you

Thanks for your kind words! We love our users, too! (: Great to hear that this solved your problem!
