How about a classic, isometric RPG?
Hi,
we're currently working on a small, isometric rpg with turn-based, grid-based fights. Here's a sample of our animation using the wonderful Spine tools:

Also, our animator has never actually animated before, which, IMHO, makes the final result more satisfying. What do you guys think?
Looks great, love the style.
I would probably exaggerate the animation a bit more, just so it's more noticeable.
it looks good man keep it up and post new updates. and yeah just a bit more animation on him that's it.

@barjed - wow, this looks really awesome. I was asking around Spine boards few months ago looking for examples of people doing just this!
Question - how are you handling the multiple perspectives / directions that the character can walk? that seems like the amount of sprite work would rapidly blow up!
Could you share an attack animation? Can't wait to check out your game!
@zain - nice animation and thanks for posting. Great to see what other people are trying to do.
We are coming back to isometric, but are looking at using it for a battle scene only, so you'd only have two main perspectives (NE, SW) which makes the art team (that's me) say its possible We're getting ready to try some of our first real tests, so we will post them there.
